Overview

Desktoptwo is a free web-based desktop that mimics the look, feel and functionality of a local computer, all contained within one browser window and fully accessible from any Internet-connected device. I’ve tried most of these and Desktoptwo is the best of the bunch. It looks the best, has the cleanest interfaces, has desktop-like functionality (drag&drop, interoperability, multi-task, etc.) and even social networking components. The applications are good (some better than others) and the desktop is fairly complete with all of the basic apps that a desktop needs (it also includes the OpenOffice suite through a Java Applet… not great but better than nothing). All in all, this is still in beta but I really like what Sapotek has done and I see more potential with Desktoptwo than I do with the others.
